Pullmantur Air and Lufthansa Systems expand cooperation

The Spanish airline Pullmantur Air is continuing to move toward a paperless cockpit. After signing an agreement for the electronic iRouteManual navigation charts last year, the airline is now expanding its use of tablet applications provided by Lufthansa Systems. Pullmantur Air is offering its pilots the latest flight technologies with the electronic Lido/Enroute charts and the Lido/DocView app with the web-based Lido/DMVS ground tool.

Lido/Enroute enables Pullmantur Air to provide its pilots with a world-wide, fully dynamic, interactive enroute chart for all their flights, on Apple’s iPad. The app is part of a complete package of tablet applications which, together with Lido/iRouteManual for airport charts, turns the iPad into a light, user-friendly and extremely cost-efficient Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). The charts are supplemented with the Lido/DocView document management and distribution system which enables pilots to retrieve documents and messages from anywhere and at any time. Pullmantur Air will additionally use the web-based Lido/DVMS DocView Management System. This tool offers management functions as well as reporting functions for determining download statistics or generating read receipts.

Pullmantur Air is a Spanish airline based in Madrid and belongs to the Pullmantur Group. It serves European, Caribbean and Asian destinations with a fleet of four Boeing 747-400 aircraft. For Pullmantur Cruises it also offers feeder flights for cruise ship passengers.
