Qatar Airways flies with navigation data from Lufthansa Systems

The airline Qatar Airways will use the comprehensive navigation data from Lufthansa Systems for their Flight Management System (FMS). Both companies recently signed a five-year contract to this effect.

The FMS database contains all important route information including altitude and airport data for optimizing routes and supporting autopilots on board modern aircraft. The navigation data, which are based on global aeronautical information, are updated every 28 days according to the AIRAC cycle and can be customized to specific routes and for the use in any type of aircraft. Lufthansa Systems can thus meet the individual requirements and needs of Qatar Airways at all times.

In Germany, Qatar Airways operates to Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich. As one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 16 years of operations. Qatar Airways is currently flying a modern fleet of 124 aircraft and connecting travelers to 128 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and The Americas.
