Republic Airways Reports August 2012 Traffic

INDIANAPOLIS—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2012. The Company generated approximately 1.9 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), 3% less than the same month last year, on a 6% decrease in capacity to 2.2 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Block hours were 79,939, a decrease of 4% from August 2011. Consolidated load factor was 86% versus 84% in the same month last year. Republic Airways carried 2.8 million passengers during the month, a decrease of 2% from the prior year.
