Darwin Airline, the leading Regional Carrier in Switzerland and Italy is pleased to announce the opening of a new base in Ancona, capital of the Marche Region in Italy. It will initially operate four flights per day, with Darwin Airline’s luxurios and fast SAAB 2000 Aircraft, connecting the Italian capital with the Marche Region seven days per week in codeshare with Alitalia.
Operating this route will enable customers from Ancona to reach the entire Alitalia network via Rome Fiumicino. In addition, transfer at Rome Fiumicino seemlessly in the Sky Team Terminal with Darwin Airline flights to Trapani and the islands of Pantelleria and Lampedusa.
As a result of the three year Marketing agreement signed between Darwin Airline and Alitalia in October 2012, Alitalia and Darwin Airline have extended this codeshare also on this new route operating the flights on the dual code base – F7 (Darwin) and AZ (Alitalia) – from June 1st.
