Saab AB And Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard Sign MoU On Joint Support Projects

Defense and security company Saab AB and Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard (MMB) in the Netherlands have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of exploring cooperation possibilities between Saab and MMB in relation to aircraft and aerospace projects. The focus will be on regional aircraft and general aviation worldwide.

“The cooperation between Saab and the companies of MMB is an important element in Saab’s strategic approach to the support market. Cooperation with SME’s in the sector will create new business opportunities in challenging times for the aviation industry”, says Lars Brännström, Vice President, Business Area Support and Services of Saab.

The cooperation will establish new business relations between Saab and the various MMB member companies based on best practices and innovation. Common ground is the notion that quality support leads to the best value for aircraft operators. Technical training and skills are the prime conditions for market oriented services.

”This MoU with Saab is an important step for the Netherlands aerospace sector and Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard to continue its role as one of the smaller aerospace countries in Europe, based on specific expertise and knowledge. SME’s in the technology sector have proven to be the key for successful economies inEurope”, says Frank Jansen, chairman of MMB and director of the Netherlands Aerospace Group.
