Sabena technics, one of the leading ATR aircraft maintenance providers, has signed a 5 year contract with Israir Airlines to support its ATR fleet.

Sabena technics will perform component repair and overhaul services, including pool access with advanced standard exchange component services, for Israir Airlines, the growing Israeli airline based in Tel Aviv.

Sabena technics started supporting Israir Airlines in June 2012, bringing valuable support to the company.

Israir Airlines is a major part of the IDB Tourism Group, Israel’s largest tourism company, and operates domestic flights to Eilat, scheduled and charter flights to various overseas destinations.

Israir Airlines has recently improved its fleet of aircraft, phasing-in two new Airbus A320 aircraft in summer 2010, and replacing its ATR fleet by two brand new ATR 72-500 aircraft last summer.

“We are very pleased with the new long term agreement with Sabena technics, we are confident that Sabena technics will keep the excellent level of service we are familiar with and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration”, said Uri Sirkis, Israir Chief Executive Officer.

Sabena technics is proud to extend its collaboration with Israir Airlines. “We are enthusiastic about Israir Airlines’ trust in Sabena technics and we are pleased to strengthen our partnership with them as well as Sabena technics position in Israel”, said Rodolphe Marchais, Chairman & CEO of Sabena technics.
