Safi Airways, the international airline of Afghanistan, is going to enhance its revenue management and ID travel processes with modern IT solutions from Lufthansa Systems. The carrier recently signed a five-year contract for the use of ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt, the revenue management solution for regional and start-up carriers. At the same time, an agreement was signed about the state-of-the-art travel management solution myIDTravel.
“We carefully selected ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt as our future revenue management solution as it will allow us to increase our load factors, generate additional revenues and thus support our planned growth,” explained Michael McTighe, Chief Operating Officer of Safi Airways. “In addition, myIDTravel is the most modern and convenient staff travel management solution on the market, and it will be an important tool for us in reducing our travel costs.”
ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt is a leading revenue management solution for the airline industry. The solution enables airlines to increase their profitability and market share even if they are already using a revenue management system. By migrating to ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt, a typical medium-size airline can boost its revenues by up to USD 6 million per year. The system covers all core processes of revenue management – from data loading and demand forecasting to optimizing availabilities – and also includes a comprehensive reporting tool.
myIDTravel is an integrated solution for the efficient management of business and private ID travel. Through e-ticketing, new self-service functions and a high level of automation, airlines can optimize their ID travel management and reduce costs. myIDTravel eliminates the need for paper tickets and enables airlines to replace them with electronic ID tickets for their own and even for interline flights. Furthermore, myIDTravel offers advantages for airlines by streamlining processes – from maintaining ID agreements and eligibility rules to revenue accounting and interline settlement. Airline employees also benefit greatly from using myIDTravel because they can conveniently purchase, change, issue and refund electronic tickets for their trips.
“We welcome Safi Airways as our new customer. The airline joins a dynamic group of more than 20 Middle Eastern carriers successfully flying with a wide range of our solutions. All of them, global carriers and niche players alike, profit from our deep airline and IT expertise,” says Marco Cesa, Senior Vice President Sales EMEA at Lufthansa Systems.
