SATA Internacional maintains growth trend in October

Grupo SATA saw 6.5% growth in the number of passengers transported in October compared to the same month last year. The load factor (number of seats filled compared to aircraft capacity) also grew 4.3 percentage points compared to October 2009.

SATA Internacional was chiefly responsible for the increase in the number of passengers transported, with 13.2% growth, i.e. 8,387 more passengers transported in October 2010 than in October 2009.

In cumulative terms, i.e. from January to October, SATA Internacional saw growth in the number of passengers transported and in the number of flights compared to the same period in 2009. The number of passengers transported grew 11.7% (91,419 more passengers). There were also 672 more flights compared to the same period in 2009 (10.9% growth).

In terms of the load factor (number of seats filled compared to aircraft capacity), SATA Internacional grew 5.2 percentage points between this October and October 2009. In cumulative terms (January to October), the load factor grew 4.9 percentage points.

Although all SATA Internacional flights saw good growth rates, flights to Canada and the United States were particularly noteworthy, with 38.4% and 25.3% more passengers transported, respectively, this October compared to the same period in 2009.
