Saudi Airlines Cargo daily B747 freighters to Lagos

Jeddah -17 July 2011 – Due to the high demand for air cargo from Asia to West Africa Saudi Airlines Cargo has increased its capacity from 3 weekly flights to daily B747 freighter flights to Lagos, Nigeria. Lagos flights operate from Riyadh Hub and connect with the carrier’s weekly 25 freighter flights from Far East and Europe into Riyadh Hub.

Mr. Shihab Al-Amoudi, Head of Global Communications & Advertising and Media Spokesperson of Saudi Airlines Cargo , said: “Immediately after we received the additional traffic rights for Lagos we increased our frequency to the fastest growing destination in our network. The expansion to Lagos is an important milestone in increasing our presence in Africa. Our African freighter network is now covering Johannesburg, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Khartoum, Ndjamena, and Lagos. We are planning more destinations in Africa as we grow our network.”

Saudi Airlines Cargo operates 12 freighters and utilizes the belly-capacity on 125 passenger aircrafts for Saudi Arabian Airlines spanning a rapidly expanding global network of 225 destinations.
