Scoot to Tokyo & Taipei Every Day from Today

Singapore – Scoot, Singapore’s newest low cost airline, today launched daily flights between Singapore and Tokyo – the first and only low-cost link between the two cities.

Exhibiting the Scootitude that the airline has become known for, three Scoot Sumo Wrestlers – aka CEO Campbell Wilson, Chief Pilot & Head of Flight Operations Captain Rohan Hari Chandra and First Officer Yusuke Uehara – celebrated by Scooting around some of Tokyo’s most scenic sights, including Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Ginza and Tokyo Tower, accompanied by cabin crew Ikuko Miura and Ayu Kamakura.

Said Campbell Wilson, Scoot’s CEO, “Today’s inauguration of daily flights between Singapore and Tokyo, via Taipei, is a huge occasion for Scoot and for the travelling public. For the first time, there’s now a low-cost travel option between Singapore and Tokyo, and between Tokyo and Taipei. Unbeatable value airfares, the empowerment of choice, a heritage of safety and reliability and, of course, our unique attitude – Scootitude. There’s no better time to get outta here with Scoot.”

Scoot’s daily service departs Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 at 12.55am and arrives into Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at 5.40am. The onward leg departs Taipei at 6.50am, arriving at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport at 10.40am. The return flight departs Tokyo at 11.50am and, after transiting Taipei, arrives at Changi Airport at 8.10pm.

Scoot’s network now comprises seven cities (Singapore, Sydney, Gold Coast, Bangkok, Taipei, Tianjin and Tokyo), with two more – Shenyang and Qingdao – commencing in November. Fares are available for booking at www.flyscoot.com or through the call centre.
