ST. GEORGE, Utah, Sept. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) passenger boardings for August increased 6.5 percent to 5,442,243 compared to 5,109,862 for the same period last year. SkyWest also reported a 3.7 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for August, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 1.3 percent compared to August 2011. The combined airlines generated 2.7 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.36 billion. Load factor increased to 82.7 compared to 80.8 in August 2011. SkyWest also reported an increase in departures to 130,628 for August compared to 125,196 for the same period last year.
