ST. GEORGE, Utah, Sept. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported that passenger boardings for August increased 1.3 percent to 5,510,411 compared to 5,442,243 for the same period last year. SkyWest also reported a 4.0 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for August, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 4.3 percent compared to August 2012. The combined airlines generated 2.8 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.5 billion. Load factor decreased to 82.5 percent compared to 82.7 percent in August 2012. SkyWest also reported a decrease of 0.9 percent in departures to 129,461 for August compared to 130,628 for the same period last year.
