SkyWest, Inc. Reports Combined August 2014 Traffic For SkyWest Airlines And ExpressJet Airlines

GEORGE, Utah, Sept. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported a 0.5 percent decrease in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for August, while available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 2.1 percent compared to August 2013. SkyWest also reported that passenger boardings for August decreased 2.1 percent to 5,394,888 compared to 5,510,411 for the same period last year. Load factor increased to 83.9 percent compared to 82.5 percent in August 2013. The combined airlines generated 2.8 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs decreased to 3.4 billion. SkyWest also reported a decrease of 5.9 percent in departures to 121,887 for August compared to 129,461 for the same period last year.
