ST. GEORGE, Utah, Jan. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported that passenger boardings for December increased 5.1 percent to 4,784,336 compared to 4,552,494 for the same period last year. SkyWest also reported a 1.6 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for December, while available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 0.5 percent compared to December 2011. The combined airlines generated 2.4 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.0 billion. Load factor increased to 80.1 compared to 78.5 in December 2011. SkyWest also reported an increase of 2.2 percent in departures to 117,067 for December compared to 114,513 for the same period last year.
