ST. GEORGE, Utah, April 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported a 2.1 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for March, while available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 0.5 percent compared to March 2013. SkyWest also reported that passenger boardings for March decreased 1.2 percent to 5,206,379 compared to 5,267,103 for the same period last year. Load factor increased to 83.3 percent compared to 81.2 percent in March 2013. The combined airlines generated 2.7 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs decreased to 3.3 billion. SkyWest also reported a decrease of 5.7 percent in departures to 120,122 for March compared to 127,353 for the same period last year.
