ST. GEORGE, Utah, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported that passenger boardings for October increased 7.6 percent to 5,143,540 compared to 4,782,142 for the same period last year. SkyWest also reported a 4.6 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for October, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 2.7 percent compared to October 2011. The combined airlines generated 2.6 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.2 billion. Load factor increased to 82.1 compared to 80.6 in October 2011. SkyWest also reported an increase of 5.8 percent in departures to 122,693 for October compared to 115,990 for the same period last year.
