SMBC AVIATION CAPITAL Q2 2013 TRADING UPDATE

Dublin – 9 July 2013: SMBC Aviation Capital, the world’s third largest aircraft lessor, today provides an update on its operational activity during the second quarter of 2013, including 10 deliveries and 14 lease agreements.

Commenting on recent trading, Peter Barrett, CEO of SMBC Aviation Capital, said: “This has been another strong quarter for SMBC Aviation Capital and we continue to see a robust flow of deals across a broad range of customers and regions. Our shareholders’ other operating leasing assets, SMFL Aircraft Capital Corporation B.V. and Sumisho Aircraft Asset Management, have been fully integrated into SMBC Aviation Capital and we now have an outstanding platform from which to deliver real value to our customers, partners and suppliers. Having just passed the first anniversary of life under our new shareholders ownership, we are more confident than ever in the business’s ability to deliver long-term growth.

Deliveries
During the second quarter of 2013 the business delivered the following aircraft:
· Two new Airbus A320-200s on lease to Aeroflot
· Two new Boeing 737-800s on lease to VRG Linhas Aereas S/A (GOL)
· Two Airbus A319-100s on lease to Aer Lingus – the final two of a four aircraft deal
· One Airbus A319-100 on lease to Sky Airline – the final aircraft in a three aircraft deal
· Two Airbus A320-200s on lease to Aigle Azur
· One new Boeing 737-800 on lease to Garuda

Lease agreements
During the period the business signed lease agreements with:
· Air Berlin for the extension of two Boeing 737-700s
· Iberia for three new Airbus A320-200s, to be delivered between August and November 2013
· Shandong Airlines for two new Boeing 737-800s to be delivered during Q1 2014
· Nok Airlines for one Boeing 737-800, expected to be delivered in September 2013
· Neos for the extension of two Boeing 737-800s
· Taca International for the extension of one Airbus A319-100
· IZair for one Boeing 737-800, which is expected to deliver this month
· S7 Airlines for one Boeing 737-800, which is expected to deliver this month
· Qantas Airways for the extension of one Boeing 737-800
