Spanair starts code share flights with US Airways and Lufthansa

Barcelona – Starting this month, Spanair will be increasing its number of intercontinental destinations thanks to code share agreements with its partners in the Star Alliance, the biggest in the world. Hong Kong and Charlotte will now be added to the growing list of Spanair destinations.

As of 15 February, flying to Hong Kong from Madrid and Barcelona will be easier than ever thanks to the numerous connections we’ll be offering to Lufthansa’s hubs in Frankfurt and Munich. From there passengers can fly directly to the Asian city and take advantage of the numerous benefits offered by Spanair and Star Alliance, such as the frequent flyers’ programme, earning points and air miles, or access to VIP lounges in the airports at each destination.

Lufthansa operates daily flights to Hong Kong from both Frankfurt and Munich. In addition, the US Airways route between Madrid and Charlotte (North Carolina) will be operational between 14 May and 29 October.

Once in Charlotte, passengers can connect to the numerous destinations US Airways flies to from this hub.

With these latest additions, and as part of its strategy to become passengers’ favourite airline, Spanair offers travellers a wider choice of destinations, greater comfort and convenience (check-in service through to the final destination) and more Premium benefits.
