Spirit Airlines New Fit Fleet(TM) Planes to Be Delivered Ahead of Schedule

MIRAMAR, Fla., Aug. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The cost of air travel will be a lot less and come earlier than expected in some cities. Spirit Airlines (Nasdaq:SAVE) will take delivery of some of its Fit Fleetâ„¢ planes sooner than originally planned and has moved up the start date for daily flights in five routes.

“Spirit operates one of the newest aircraft fleets in the Americas,” said Mark Kopczak, Vice President of Network Planning for Spirit Airlines. “We’re excited to add more brand-new Airbus A320 airplanes to our Fit Fleet, and to start service to many locations earlier than planned.”

The new fuel-efficient planes will arrive this fall and will be added to Spirit’s current fleet of 58 Airbus aircraft.
