SR Technics and Universal Asset Management enter aircraft component cooperation

March 13, 2014 – Zurich, Switzerland: SR Technics and Universal Asset Management (UAM) have signed a General Terms Agreement (GTA) in relation to the set-up of an aircraft component cooperation at the end of February 2014. The agreement will enable the two companies to deliver more comprehensive services to its customers, and will initially cover Pratt & Whitney 4168 Thrust Reversers and Nose Cowls, with the scope to extend the collaboration to other assets and platforms.

UAM is based in Memphis, TN USA and its disassembly facility is located at the Tupelo Regional Airport in Tupelo, MS USA. Under the GTA, UAM will provide access to the thrust reversers and nose cowls through its aircraft disassembly activities. SR Technics will draw on its long-standing experience in delivering world-class component maintenance, repair and overhaul services to bring these parts back into a serviceable condition. The parts will be available to operators of Airbus A330 Pratt-powered aircraft on a sale, loan or exchange basis via SR Technics’ Single Component Services (SCS) 24/7 hotline on +41 43 501 2988/components@srtechnics.com or UAM’s 24/7 sales line on +1 901 682 4064/sales@uaminc.com.

André Wall, Chief Executive Officer at SR Technics, commented: “We recognize that for high cost parts we need new solutions to keep the costs down for our customers, while maintaining our quality levels. The agreement with Universal Asset Management allows us to provide the best option to our customers according to their fleet size and requirements at an attractive price. The flexible agreement also means that over time we can extend the GTA to cover additional parts or platforms, enabling us to generate the optimal solution for both our and UAM’s customers.”

Keri Wright, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of UAM stated, “Our partnership with SR Technics is a key move in our strategic plan to create more complete solutions at a lower cost for all UAM customers.” She continued, “We look forward to rapidly growing the platforms and programs with SR Technics and extending the resulting benefits to UAM’s & SR Technics’ customers.”
