SR Technics appoints new General Manager for the Americas

Sean O’Connor has been appointed General Manager for SR Technics America, Inc. He assumed his new position on August 1, 2011. As General Manager, Sean will be responsible for driving the expansion of SR Technics’ business in the Americas.

Being a leading global MRO provider and as part of its growth strategy, SR Technics is focused on the Americas as a vital expansion region. Sean and his team will be focused on increasing market share for SR Technics on all services within the companies’ capabilities. He will be based at the SR Technics America Inc., main office in Sunrise, Florida.

Sean worked for Air Lingus Ireland between 1973 and 1992 and held sales leadership positions with FLS Aerospace Ireland and FLS Aerospace USA from 1992 to 2005. With the merger of FLS and SR Technics in 2005 he joined the Group as Head of Sales Europe and during the last year as interim Global Head of Sales. He has a detailed knowledge of the airline and maintenance, repair and overhaul industries and has worked successfully in many operational, business development and sales roles around the world, including Switzerland, Ireland, the UK and Nigeria. He has also spent more than five years working in America, and this together with his previous management positions, will be a great asset to him in his new role.
