October 29, 2013 – Zurich, Switzerland: SR Technics, part of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, has signed a contract with Transavia France, a French based low-cost carrier. The five-year contract covers light, line and limited base maintenance activities for the airline’s entire Boeing 737 fleet. The agreement will initially cover 11 aircraft at contract commencement in November 2013, with the scope expanding to support the airline’s growing fleet over the contract period.
Paris-Orly Sud, the airline’s main base, will provide the hub for Transavia France’s fleet support. Services will also be provided year round out of Nantes, and Lyon will support the airline’s summer schedule. Nantes will be a new addition to SR Technics’ line station network in France due to open in the Q4 2013.
“SR Technics’ growing line maintenance presence in France offers airlines a strong technical support network of six stations and over 90 employees based across the country,” comments André Wall, President of SR Technics. “Our operating model is designed to make it easy for airlines to outsource day-to-day line and light maintenance activities, and where needed tap into our supplementary services such as painting, cabin maintenance, sheet metal and non-destructive testing. This enables airlines to manage the operational aspects of their business, with the peace of mind that the technical support they receive will ensure high level dispatch reliability.”
Antoine Pussiau, CEO of Transavia France, declared: “We are pleased with the signature of this contract with SR Technics for the maintenance of our aircraft in our three main bases. This new partnership will offer Transavia France a high quality of service, combined with flexibility and close attention to our specific needs. SR Technics is known to put a maximum emphasis on safety, which will remain the most important criteria for transavia.com. We look forward to a long-term hand-in-hand collaboration with this new partner.”
