SR Technics has secured a contract renewal with Thomas Cook Airlines, to provide all Line Maintenance support for aircraft at Belfast International Airport, in Northern Ireland.
Under the accord SR Technics’ team at Belfast will provide full line maintenance support on all Airbus A320 and A321 and Boeing 757 aircraft, with transit checks being performed on 767s. From June 24, 2011, support for the airline’s Airbus A330, summer charter flights, will also be provided. This follows an extension to SR Technics’ capabilities after securing the necessary type training on the Airbus A330. In total approximately 20 transit checks across the five aircraft types will be performed each week.
“Thomas Cook is a very important customer for SR Technics. We have a relationship that has spanned 10 years, and this contract gives us the opportunity to build upon this firm foundation while maintaining our excellent line maintenance service levels,” said Antoine Gervais, Head of Line Maintenance International at SR Technics. “We have listened to our customer’s needs and we will deliver to their requirements, which means that we can keep Thomas Cook flying high during the summer months”
“Thomas Cook are delighted to be able to extend our excellent working relationship with a company like SR Technics. We recognize that from a Line Maintenance perspective we have become a lot more focused on performance management and want to work more creatively in order to move with modern times. SR Technics have stepped up to this challenge and we all look forward to working together in this new way,” commented Rob Woods, General Manager Line Maintenance at Thomas Cook.
