ST Aerospace Solutions and Madrid Aerospace Services form alliance to market global landing gear maintenance services

Singapore, 10 July 2012 – ST Aerospace‘s Scandinavian facility, ST Aerospace Solutions, has formed an alliance with ST Aerospace’s joint venture company Madrid Aerospace Services (MAeS), to provide global landing gear maintenance services for the Airbus A320 family, A330 and A340 and Boeing 737NG, MD80, MD90 aircraft platforms. Leveraging landing gear repair and overhaul expertise and customer base of both parent companies ST Aerospace and Iberia Maintenance, the new alliance will jointly market their landing gear maintenance and engineering services to customers worldwide. Additionally, the new alliance will promote operational excellence through the sharing of best practices, and facilitate capacity growth for both companies.

The alliance will also tap on Iberia Maintenance’s knowledge of airline expectations, gaining comprehensive understanding and operational insights to customers’ unique requirements. It will leverage ST Aerospace’s global customer network. This will enable ST Aerospace Solutions and MAeS to ensure their service offerings fit customers’ outsourcing needs and operational demands, improving its approach to the market.

ST Aerospace Solutions currently provides landing gear maintenance services in Europe from its facility in Oslo, Norway, while MAeS provides repair and overhaul services for landing gear systems and components from its Madrid facility. With this alliance agreement, ST Aerospace and Iberia Maintenance will provide a partnership that is committed to the global market, with extended capacity for their current and new customers worldwide.
