ST ENGINEERING APPOINTS CHAN YENG KIT AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Singapore, 30 November 2012 – Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) today announced the appointment of Mr Chan Yeng Kit as a Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Mr Chan is Permanent Secretary (Defence Development) in Singapore’s Ministry of Defence, overseeing defence research & technology, and defence procurement. He holds chairmanships in Defence Science & Technology Agency, and DSO National Laboratories. He has held various positions in Public Service including Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Communications & the Arts (2008-2012); Chief Executive Officer, Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (2005-2008); and Deputy Secretary (Policy), Ministry of Education (2002-2004).

Mr Chan graduated with Bachelor of Science (Hons Class 1) from theUniversity of Tasmania, Australia and holds a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard University.
