Standard & Poor’s upgraded Embraer’s credit rating to 'BBB' from 'BBB-'

São José dos Campos, June 10, 2013 – On June 4th, 2013, Standard & Poor’s Rating Services raised its credit rating for Embraer, increasing its corporate credit rating to ‘BBB’ from ‘BBB-’ on stronger credit metrics and operating efficiency. Standard & Poor’s also noted that the outlook is stable reflecting the expectation that Embraer will continue to present strong credit metrics and improve backlog as it benefits from the recovery in the regional airline routes with its competitive range of products.

The upgrade also reflects the Company’s strong operating performance, confirming that it can maintain efficient operations and stable margins while capturing new opportunities in the commercial aviation segment, consolidating the E-Jets leadership, as well as successfully placing its new products in the executive aviation and defense and security segments, leading to further improvements in sales diversification.
