Stobart Air announce appointments to its Board and executive team

Stobart Air, formerly Aer Arann, is pleased to announce appointments to its Board and executive team.

Mr Sean Brogan is appointed to the role of Chairman, Stobart Air.

Sean assumes the role of Chairman having overseen the airline’s transformation during his tenure as Interim Chief Executive. This includes a successful restructuring; 10 year agreement with Aer Lingus; 55% increase in passengers; new aircraft fleet; and a second franchise partner, Flybe.
Mr Julian Carr becomes Managing Director, Stobart Air with effect from 6 May 2014.

Julian brings considerable expertise to Stobart Air. He is former Managing Director and Commercial Director of BMI Baby and held senior roles in the International Air Transport Association and MyTravel Group Plc. Julian joins the airline from global motion picture company, National Amusements, Inc. where he held the position of Chief Executive of the company’s UK operations.

The airline is also pleased to announce the appointments of Mr Tim Jeans and Ms Yvonne Denney to the Board of the airline as non-executive directors.

Tim Jeans is a respected aviation executive, with considerable strategic and operational experience. He is a former Managing Director of Monarch Airlines, Chief Operating Officer of MyTravel Airways, Commercial Director of Ryanair and Head of Business Development at Manchester Airport.

Yvonne Deeney is an international finance and investment consultant, with regulatory, compliance, banking and leadership experience. She is a former CIO and Director of GE Re, an Employer Reinsurance Corporation subsidiary and now part of Swiss Re, one of the world’s leading reinsurance and risk solution providers.
