Susanne Höhenberger appointed Vice President Sales for the DACH region

airberlin is placing both Corporate and National Sales in the hands of one person. From 1st September 2011 Susanne Höhenberger (35) will be in charge of the restructured section for the DACH region, i.e. the countries of Germany (D), Austria (A) and Switzerland (CH). This means that, as well as being responsible for contracts with corporate customers, she will now also look after business and leisure travel agencies.

Höhenberger has worked for airberlin since 2000. Under her management the number of national and international corporate contracts rose from 800 to almost 1.500 contracts. Apart from increasing the number of key accounts, the range of products for small and medium-sized companies has also been extended. The business points programme, which was introduced in March 2010 and now has almost 8.000 members, was initiated by Höhenberger.

The scheme allows small enterprises without their own travel management section to collect business points and earn credits. The airberlin and NIKI route network covered by the scheme includes all their relevant business travel destinations within Germany and other European countries, as well as medium-haul and long-haul services to Tel Aviv, Dubai, Bangkok, the USA and Canada.
