Swiss names its new Head of Corporate Communications

Daniel Barlocher (41) has been appointed as the new Head of Corporate Communications at Swiss International Air Lines. He assumes his duties, taking over from Jurg Dinner, on 1 May.

Daniel Barlocher comes to SWISS from the internationally active Charles Vögele Group, where he has been serving as Vice President Group Communications (with responsibility for both corporate communications and investor relations) since 2009. From 2001 to 2008 Barlocher was with Dr. Peter P. Knobel AG, one of Switzerland’s leading PR agencies, latterly as a Member of Executive Management responsible for the corporate communications and financial relations of several major companies both in and outside Switzerland. Prior to this he had spent several years in the management consulting and auditing fields. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Zurich. Daniel Barlocher succeeds Jurg Dinner, who is moving after six years as Head of Corporate Communications to take up the new Swiss post of Head of Political Affairs Environment.
