Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. transported 1,084,075 passengers in February, a slight 0.4% increase on the same month last year. A total of 10,340 flights were operated systemwide, 2.4% fewer than in February 2014.
Of these, 8,935 were on the European network (down 3.4%) and 1,405 (up 5.0%) were on intercontinental routes. Passenger volume growth does not necessarily translate into higher revenues, however, since yields remain under sizeable pressure.
