TAAG begins talks on fleet renewal

Angola’s national airline TAAG will negotiate the delivery of new aircraft with Boeing and Bombardier from 2020 under the restructuring and fleet modernization plan recently approved by the Angolan President.

The decree also authorizes the Minister of Transport to "unleash the tools to design and assemble the financing transaction for the acquisition of aircraft" and "negotiate the refinancing of two B777-300ERs" acquired by TAAG in recent years.

Ministers of Finance and Transport, together with the management of TAAG, will also be allowed to proceed to the start of negotiations with the various lenders for the purchase of new aircraft.
