Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (TAECO) opened its sixth
maintenance hangar at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport today.The US$73.5
million investment in the new hangar facilities underpins the Company’s confidence in
serving the burgeoning demand for aircraft engineering services worldwide.The
new 45,790 square-metre hangar is fully equipped to accommodate two wide-body
aircraft, enabling capacity expansion by 20%.
TAECO takes pride in its leadership position in Airframe Maintenance, Freighter
Conversion and Cabin Reconfiguration.The Cabin Completion Centre in the new
facility unveils TAECO’s long term vision in serving the growing executive and
corporate jet cabin outfitter market in Mainland China and the rest of Asia.The
Airbus approved Cabin Completion Centre is housed in one of the bays of the sixth
hangar, isolated from the rest of facility, to provide utmost privacy and security for the
customers’ aircraft.To facilitate cabin outfitting work, the sixth hangar is equipped
with a wide variety of executive and corporate jet support shops and a customer
showroom.
