São Paulo, December 30, 2014 – On December 24, 2014, TAM Airlines and Passaredo entered into a codeshare agreement. To be implemented, however, the agreement is subject to approval by Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (AN AC) and Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE). Earlier this year the companies had already signed an Interline agreement.
After obtaining the respective approvals the partnership will give TAM Airlines even greater network coverage, in line with the strategy to serve and increase its market share in regional markets. Consequently, the passengers of both airlines will operate nine new destinations in Brazil: Araguaína, Barreiras, Cascavel, Dourados, Pampulha, Sinop, Três Lagoas, Uberaba and Vitória da Conquista. Passengers departing from these cities through TAM Airlines will be able to connect to the 135 destinations in 24 countries served by the companies of the LATAM Airlines Group.
Tickets for flights operated by Passaredo can be booked via www.tam.com.br, as well as at TAM Airlines stores and travel agencies.
