TAME renews its trust in Barfield for the full support of its additional Airbus A319 aircraft

TAME, Ecuador’s flag carrier, has extended its contract with Barfield, a Sabena technics company, for the support of two additional Airbus A319

This new agreement is an extension of the 6-year contract between TAME and Barfield for the full support of its six A320 family aircraft. Within the scope of this contract, Barfield will increase the inventory of the Main Base components in order to fit TAME’s new requirements, following the addition of two Airbus A319. This agreement includes test, repair and overhaul of rotable components as well as full pool access and engineering support.

This collaboration strengthens the relationship between the Ecuador’s flag carrier and Barfield. In January 2012, Barfield had also been awarded a 5-year contract with TAME for the full support of its fleet of three ATR42-500.

For this reason, Rafael Farías, CEO of the Ecuadorian airline, stressed his confidence in Barfield’s technical response to TAME’s requirements and committed to maintain a mutual and satisfactory relationship in compliance with the contracts. M. Farías also highlighted the efficiency achieved by Barfield, an important factor at the time of renewing or expanding coverage in a contract which is a fundamental step in TAME’s growth process, and resulting in the addition of two new Airbus A319.
