Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, today (2nd Mar) confirmed that from 1st June -30th Sept all flights to/from Venice Treviso will temporarily transfer to Venice Marco Polo Airport while Treviso Airport undergoes upgrade works to its landing systems.
Ryanair and Venice Treviso Airport apologise to all passengers for any inconvenience. However, this upgrade in the landing systems at Treviso will benefit all passengers in the long-term as it will significantly reduce weather related cancellations and diversions in future.
Passengers booked to travel to/from Venice Treviso Airport during this period have already been notified of this change by email.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:
“Ryanair has worked with both Venice Treviso and Venice Marco Polo Airports to minimise the disruption to our flights and passengers from the closure of Treviso by transferring all flights to Marco Polo which is just 30 kilometres away. Ryanair has contacted all passengers by email to inform them of the amendments to their itinerary.
These essential upgrade works will benefit all passengers in the long-term and will help to ensure that Ryanair passengers suffer far fewer adverse weather related disruptions on flights to/from Venice Treviso.”
