Thai launches direct flights from Haneda to Bangkok

Haneda, Japan – Thai Airways International Public Company Limited recently launched direct service from Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The first flight TG683 to Bangkok was launched at the ribbon-cutting event at the departure gate in Haneda, and was presided over by Mr. Nond Kalinta, Thai’s Director of Japan, Korea and North America, and His Excellency Mr. Thanatip Upatising, Thailand’s Ambassador to Japan.
Mr. Nond said that with the launch of the double daily operation between the two cities, Thai aims to meet customer demands and satisfaction by increasing frequencies or capacities as the demand in air transportation is expected to rise when the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) takes effect in 2015.

H. E. Mr. Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of Kingdom of Thailand to Japan, congratulated Thai in achieving the direct flight schedule which may help forge closer ties between Thailand and Japan, and provide more convenience for travelers between the two countries. Mr. Kenji Ueki, Administrator of Tokyo International Airport, also offered his congratulations on the new service.
