On 25 May, Air France signed a destination contract with the French Caribbean tourism professionals to ensure the upcoming launch of routes serving the French Carribean out of Paris-CDG is a success.
Under this contract, Air France agrees to serve Fort de France and Pointe à Pitre starting on 5 November 2011 with once weekly flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.
Air France has also agreed to implement through fare scales from the main European airports, fares via Paris-CDG combinable with fares via Paris-Orly or inversely, and a one-way Pointe-à-Pitre with a return Fort-de-France fare or inversely with the possibility of including inter-island transport at a competitive rate.
Starting in winter 2011, Air France will operate up to 28 flights to and from the French Caribbean:
- up to 13 weekly flights between Paris-Orly and Pointe-à-Pitre and 1 weekly flight between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Pointe-à-Pitre.
- up to 13 weekly flights between Paris-Orly and Fort-de-France and 1 weekly flight between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Fort-de-France.
Air France is thus the only airline to serve the French Caribbean out of Paris-CDG.
