July 2011: Tiger Airways Australia today announced the appointment of industry veteran Captain Chris Manning to the role of Safety Advisor at the airline. In this advisory position Captain Manning will work directly with new CEO, Tony Davis, to ensure that the airline is applying the highest levels of operational safety management across the company.
Captain Manning has spent more than 40 years in aviation, he is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, a former President of the Australian and International Pilots Association and was most recently the Chief Pilot and Group General Manager of Flight Operations with Qantas.
He began his flying career as a cadet pilot with Qantas in 1970.

Captain Manning’s appointment as Safety Advisor to the CEO is effective immediately.
