TIGER AIRWAYS APPOINTS NEW AUSTRALIAN CEO

12th September 2011 – Tiger Airways has today announced the appointment of Andrew David as the new CEO of Tiger Airways Australia.

Mr. David was previously Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Virgin Blue, a position he held from February 2005 to November 2010.

Mr. David will join Tiger Airways Australia on 17th October.

As COO of Virgin Blue Mr. David oversaw flight operations, ground services, engineering, safety systems, revenue management, network planning and guest services.

Prior to Virgin Blue, Mr. David held a number of senior management roles including Chief Information Officer at Air New Zealand and General Manager Pacific Airlines. He has also worked in strategic and consulting roles with Shell Oil, British Airways, IBM and NatWest Bank.

Mr. Chin Yau Seng, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Tiger Airways Holdings Limited, said “We are pleased to welcome Andrew David as the new CEO of Tiger Airways Australia. He brings a wealth of airline business experience and a proven leadership track record.”

Mr. David holds an Executive MBA from Auckland University.
