TIGER AIRWAYS OPERATING STATISTICS FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2013

Tiger Singapore recorded 652 million revenue passenger-kilometres (RPK) for the month of February 2013, representing a year-on-year increase of 32%. This was mainly attributable to higher bookings during the Lunar New Year period. As the increase in traffic outpaced the 27% increase in capacity to 782 million available seat-kilometres (ASK), passenger load factor improved 3 percentage points to 83%, from 80% a year ago. The number of passengers carried grew 24% to 354,000 from 286,000 in February 2012.

For the 12 months to February 2013, Tiger Singapore recorded a 19% increase in traffic to 7.8 billion RPK, more than keeping pace with a 14% increase in capacity to 9.3 billion ASK. Consequently, passenger load factor was three percentage points higher at 84%. The number of passengers carried grew 12% to 4.3 million, compared to 3.9 million in the previous period.

Tiger Australia

Tiger Australia recorded an 82% increase in traffic to 209 million RPK for the month of February 2013. Capacity increased 75% to 248 million ASK, from 142 million ASK a year ago. As a result, passenger load factor improved 3 percentage points to 84%. In February 2013, Tiger Australia carried 198,000 passengers, representing an increase of 102% over the previous period. The airline was operating at a significantly reduced capacity and on a limited schedule a year ago.

For the 12 months to February 2013, Tiger Australia recorded a 38% increase in traffic to 2.7 billion RPK, following a 40% increase in capacity to 3.3 billion ASK. Passenger load factor was 82%, down one percentage point from the previous corresponding period. The number of passengers carried grew 37% to 2.3 million, compared to 1.7 million carried in the previous period.
