(AIRCRAFT INTERIORS EXPO, Hamburg, Germany, 8-10 April) – TIMCO Aerosystems will be introducing its new Cabin Optimisation solution at the Aircraft Interiors Expo this week in Hamburg, Germany. Through design and relocation of selected monuments such as lavatories and galleys, TIMCO’s engineers can effectively reconfigure existing cabin layouts to add new rows of seats to generate additional revenue from each flight. At the same time, replacement FeatherWeightTM galleys and lavatories can provide the same levels of service for passengers they have today, while dramatically lowering weight and using less space. And TIMCO’s FeatherWeightTM line of economy and premium economy seating can be included in any solution to offer customers elevated levels of comfort and living space, even when a reduced seat pitch is considered.
Flexibility is a key part of TIMCO’s approach. TIMCO engineers carefully consider the individual airline’s specific service and marketing goals to create a new cabin layout that will make use of otherwise under-used areas while freeing space for additional revenue generating seats. Cabin Optimisation can even result in the generation of enough revenue to support the case for an investment in new seating throughout the cabin.
Rick Salanitri, President of TIMCO Aerosystems, said: “Airlines have been struggling with finding a balance among sometimes-competing goals in the cabin. They are striving to find ways of improving cabin economics, while also ensuring passengers are comfortable and well-treated to solicit their loyalty. We believe our new, customised approach will help airlines to realise all of their goals while covering the costs of their cabin refurbishment investment.”
TIMCO Aerosystems is a division of TIMCO Aviation Services, Inc. and business unit of the Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (“HAECO”).
