Total number of Icelandair passengers up 21% from June last year

Icelandair carried 213 thousand passengers in June, an increase of 21% since
last year. The load factor was 80.8% and remained unchanged. Passenger numbers
at Air Iceland were down by 3%, while the load factor improved and was 70.5%.
The Vestmanneyjar route was ceased in 2010 which skews the comparison. Flights
to Greenland have been successful and passenger increase in June was 25%
compared to last year.

Sold block hours where 1% less in June compared to June 2010. Sold block hours
by Loftleiưir-Icelandic increased, but decreased by Icelandair Cargo due to
maintenance work. Freight increased by 4% in June mainly due to more import to
Iceland. Hotel utilization was 72.6% and improved over last year. Available
hotel rooms were up 12%, reason being the opening of a new Icelandair Hotel in
Akureyri in June.
