Transaero Airlines announces operational results for the first eight months of 2014

Moscow, September 24, 2014 – Transaero Airlines announced its operational results for the first eight months of 2014, which highlight the company’s sustainable development and the growth of its key indicators.

From January to August 2014:
- Passenger traffic increased by 6.4 % and reached 9.03 million, including 6.41 million passengers carried on international routes and 2.62 million passengers carried on domestic routes. The growth of passenger traffic on domestic routes was 37.9%, which is the highest growth rate among the top five carriers in Russia.
- Passenger load factor amounted to 84.7%, the best result among the top five Russian carriers.
- Transaero carried 42,000 tonnes of cargo, a 3.7% growth over the same period of 2013. The airline also confirmed its leadership of Russian carriers in terms of cargo turnover on domestic routes, which reached 187.5 million TKM.

August became the record month for the airline. The number of passengers carried in a single month was more than 1.6 million,beating the previous record of 1.5 million set in July. Passenger turnover reached 5,244,802,000 RPK.

In August Transaero led Russian airlines in terms of passenger traffic on international routes, reaching 1,208,019 passengers.
