August 8, 2013, Moscow, – On August 7, 2013 Transaero Airlines launched scheduled flights on the Moscow-Antalya route, with the first scheduled flight being almost fully booked.
Since 1993 Transaero has only operated charter flights to Antalya, which is a popular holiday destination among Russian tourists. Transaero obtained the right to operate regular flights to Antalya in July 2013.
Flight UN809/810 will be operated daily from Moscow Domodedovo Airport according to the following schedule (all times local):
• Departure from Moscow at 11:30, arriving in Antalya at 13:55
• Departure from Antalya at 15:45, arriving in Moscow at 20:05
Flights are operated with Boeing 777 and Boeing 767 wide-body aircraft.
Transaero is a leader in terms of passenger traffic between Russia and Turkey. Currently, the airline operates flights to Antalya from three Russian cities – Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. Transaero’s route network from Moscow includes two more destinations in Turkey – Bodrum and Dalaman. The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism has officially recognised Transaero for its significant contribution to the development of the country’s travel industry.
At present, Transaero accounts for 85% of all charter services on the Moscow-Antalya route. The airline has carried 5,730,000 passengers on this route since the start of its services to Antalya in 1993.
The launch of scheduled flights from Moscow to Antalya represents a new benchmark in the airline’s operations on this route. Now passengers are offered an opportunity to choose among classes of service including premium classes while booking their tickets to Antalya.
Transaero scheduled flights to Antalya will provides for the airline’s even more significant contribution to the development of air services between the Russian Federation and the Turkish Republic.
