Turkish Technic and Astra Airlines signed Landing Gear Services contract for A320 Aircraft

Astra Airlines chooses Turkish Technic as the Landing Gear Maintenance Services Provider for its Airbus A320 Aircraft.The newly signed contract is the first business agreement between parties. The services will be carried out at Turkish Technic Istanbul Facilities in February 2013.

Turkish Technic General Manager, Dr. Ismail Demir said “Thanking Astra Airlines for choosing Turkish Technic to provide Landing Gear Maintenance Services and appreciate greatly the trust that Astra Airlines has placed in us by signing this contract. Turkish Technic, an association of Turkish Airlines group companies (Istanbul Stock Exchange: THYAO), provides MRO services for Boeing and Airbus airframes, engines, auxiliary power units, landing gear and components. The company serves more than 100 airlines in Europe, the Middle East, Northern Africa, Turkey and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with its maintenance bases in Istanbul & Ankara and highly qualified workforce of more than 3,000 personnel.

Astra Airlines, which is aiming to reach the highest quality level of air services is located in the expanding Greek International Airport of Thessaloniki “Makedonia”, and had started the operation in summer 2008.
