Ural Aviation Services, a UTair Group subsidiary based on the territory of the Ufa International Airport, has received certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Certification was issued on the basis of an audit regarding compliance with EU requirements for operational procedures and the on site quality management system for flight safety maintenance. The main business activities of Ural Aviation Services certified according to European standards include line technical maintenance, including A-check procedures for all Boeing 737 aircraft family modifications, service and repair works for wheels, brake units and battery units for the same aircraft and nondestructive testing and analysis (NDT) procedures for aircraft component control.
EASA PART-145 certification is the primary and most valuable compliance verification granted to aircraft maintenance organizations. Certification gives the right to perform MRO operations on aircraft with European registration or registration from countries outside the EU that accept EASA requirements for aircraft maintenance.
Ural Aviation Services is a MRO enterprise currently focused on maintenance of all modifications of Boeing 737 aircraft. The company’s facilities total 10,000 sqm and are located at the Ufa International Airport. The size and service capacity of the hangar faculties allow for round-the-clock servicing of two aircraft simultaneously with further increase up to four aircraft. The development of operational capacity is important considering UTair Group’s expected acquisition of 40 new Boeing 737-800/900 aircraft to 2018.
In August 2013 Ural Aviation Services received OTAR 145 certification from the Bermuda Aviation Authority.
