VAS Aero Services Names Robert Lamond VP of Business Development

Boca Raton, FL, March 25, 2015 — VAS Aero Services, a global leader in aviation logistics and aftermarket services, reported that Robert Lamond has been named Vice President of Business Development. The announcement comes as part of VAS’s global expansion strategy, according to Tommy Hughes, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for the company.

Lamond brings with him extensive knowledge and background in planning and logistics, having designed and spearheaded aircraft and aviation industry initiatives throughout his career. His expertise in sales and customer liaison, as well as new product and business development, has been honed through senior level management on a worldwide scope in commercial aircraft, engines and systems industries.

He joins VAS from AerSale, Inc., where he served as vice president for the global commercial aircraft engines and parts provider. Past positions have included senior management roles in marketing, sales and product development with Kellstrom Industries and AeroTurbine. In 1995, he founded and led the commercial engine business for International Turbine Systems.

In his new role with VAS, Lamond will be responsible for working with airlines on exit strategies for unused fleet assets, both consignment and sale.
