Viking Appoints New Regional Sales Director for Latin America David Caporali to Join Twin Otter Series 400 Global Sales Force

Victoria, British Columbia, February 12th, 2015: Viking Air Limited of Victoria, British Columbia has appointed David Caporali to the new role of Regional Sales Director for Latin America, including Mexico, the entirety of Central and South America, and the Caribbean. In this position, Caporali will be responsible for sales and integration of the sales representative network in Latin America, and will be the primary point of contact for all Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft sales within the region.

Caporali joins Viking from his previous position as Aircraft General Sales Manager at Lider Aviacao, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he was responsible for operational interaction between the regional sales team and the aircraft OEM, with special focus on twin turbo-prop aircraft for the general aviation and executive business markets.

In the new role of Viking Regional Sales Director for Latin America, Caporali will transition between Brazil and Panama, where his fluent multi-lingual skills will be an asset in establishing Viking’s corporate presence and expanding the Series 400 Twin Otter market.

“Latin America shows great market potential for the Series 400 Twin Otter, where the aircraft’s robust design, low operating costs and STOL capabilities will excel in the extreme environments of the developing regions. Having a locally based representative will help bridge the gap between potential operators and the Viking factory,” stated Evan McCorry, Viking vice president, International Sales & Marketing. He added, “I have known David for many years, and am confident that his award-winning sales leadership and extensive market experience will be instrumental in integrating our global sales strategy for the Twin Otter Series 400 throughout Latin America.”
