SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Virgin America today reported its preliminary operational results for October 2014 and the first ten months of the year. The airline’s traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) decreased 1.1 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 2.7 percent lower than in the same month in 2013.
Load factor was 82 percent, up 1.3 points from October 2013. The number of onboard passengers decreased 3.1 percent from the same month last year.
