Virgin America Reports September 2014 Operational Results

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Virgin America today reported its preliminary operational results for September 2014 and the first nine months of the year. The airline’s traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) increased 1.8 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 1.9 percent lower than in the same month in 2013.

Load factor was 79.2 percent, up 2.9 points from September 2013. The number of onboard passengers increased 0.2 percent from the same month last year.
